The Guru always gives right advice

The Guru is one who has experienced and knows Divinity from within. In the depths of meditation, knowledge and wisdom of the universe are revealed to self. When we meditate, we get the right understanding of life and we are able to approach and solve the problems of life effortlessly. The Guru spends a lifetime dedicated to meditation and is a storehouse of wisdom and knowledge. He taps the divine source and is able to access the universal storehouse of knowledge. The Guru always takes care of his sincere disciples and gives the right advice when asked for help.

When we follow our own reasoning in solving our problems or take the advice of others around us,  our insights and solutions are colored by our anger, hatred, greed, lust, jealousy, pain and ego. Such solutions will not give the desired results or prove beneficial for all the parties concerned. When we seek the help of the Guru, the advice given by him is based on selfless love, honesty, hard work, discipline, unity and welfare of all. When we follow his advice, it is beneficial to us and all others. The story of the one hundredth prince speaks of this truth:

Once upon a time there was a king with a hundred sons. The youngest – 100th son was kind, energetic and patient. All the sons were taught by the RajGuru who was the Guru for the kingdom. The RajGuru was a realized man who had a wide range of skills and knowledge. Only the 100th son respected, obeyed and learnt well from the Guru. After the completion of education, the princes were sent to different provinces to develop the country and help the people. When it was his turn, the 100th prince stayed behind in the capital as per the advice of the Guru.

The 100th prince asked his Guru about how best to serve his father and the subjects in the capital city. The Guru told him to seek the King’s permission to be the collector of tax & fees and distributor of benefits to people and asked him to carry out his duties honestly, fairly and with kindness. The 100th son followed his Guru’s advice and soon became respected and loved by all.

Time passed and the king became old and ill and was on his deathbed. He had 100 sons and left it to the people to name the king. The citizens crowned the 100th prince as the next ruler. The other brothers were filled with rage and envy and got their armies ready for taking the kingdom by force. Once again the 100th son asked his Guru for advice. His Guru told him not to wage war against his brothers but to divide the wealth of the kingdom into 100 portions and send one to each. The other brothers realised that one single portion of the wealth and army was too small and would leave the kingdom weak. So they decided to send back the wealth and army back to the 100th son and accept him as the King. The100th son invited all his brothers to the palace for celebration and showered them his love and respect. He became close to all and got their love and support.

The King invited his wise Guru to live with him and honored him with gifts, land and great wealth. He declared to all the citizens that he owed his success to the Guru. The Guru had always given him the right advice and guidance. He advised everyone to follow the advice of their wise teachers and Gurus and be prosperous and happy.

The Guru is the Divine Power who guides mankind back to God. To live a good life on earth, we need good material life, good relationship with our family and friends, success in our work and wealth and to complete this life successfully, we need to walk towards God and attain Him. The advice given by the Guru helps us in our material lives as well as spiritual lives. Let us  do our SitaRam Mantra, meditation and follow the advice and teachings of the Guru and live a peaceful, successful life.
