Mantra Japa - Effective Stress Buster

In today’s world of stress, we are pounded daily with tensions from all sides. The end result is a fall in health, sleep, relationships, productivity etc. We are all prey to the negative effects of stress. How do we overcome stress? Exercise, right diet, right thinking, prayer, mantra japa and meditation are some of the effective stress busters. The SitaRam Mantra is one of the most effective stress busters as the mantra japa can be done at anytime, anyplace and silently in mind. And it works at the higher levels, bringing healing and peace to body, mind and emotions.

The SitaRam Mantra Japa is done in two ways –we sit on asan and do the japa  or we can do the walking japa which can be done at all times of the day and night irrespective of time and place. The walking japa is the easiest possible stress buster.  Doing the walking japa of SitaRam calms the waves of the mind and brings peace. We must remember that we are Divine Sparks and Peace & Bliss are our nature. By doing the mantra japa silently in our mind, we bring devotion and purification to the mind. A mind that is pure is also calm. When there is calmness within self, the joy or bliss of the soul opens up. Under such circumstances, we are able to give peak performance at work and fulfil our obligations at home. We have good relationships with all.

Today, overexposure to media and information bombardment from all sides 24 by 7 has made the youth  very restless. A restless mind will seek drinks, drugs and other forms of pleasure which creates further restlessness.  The restless mind cannot concentrate, perform work or see life in the right way. Such a mind is always unhappy and creates grief and pain around it.  An unhappy mind is in hell and creates hell wherever it goes.  Think over this little story:

A man lay dying and his mother, wife and son were attending to him. Looking at his wife and son he said: you were both with me when I had the accident and nursed me through it. When I lost my job due to nonattendance of work, you supported me. When I was sick you took care of me. Now I am dying and you are with me. You were with me all these years. How much bad luck will you bring me? And looking at his mother he said: these two – I can forgive, they were with me for lesser years of my life. But you – my mother, you were with me from birth. Because of you I had bad luck all my life.  How much more bad luck are you going to bring me?

This is a reflection of the modern stressed out mind. It sees only pain where love and support are present. Such a life is very distressing.

We must use the power of mantra japa for de-stressing and calming ourselves. Do any mantra if you don’t have the SitaRam Mantra. Or pray.  We are sparks of Divinity and must rise higher. We must not live miserable lives under the control of a sadistic mind.

There are multiple levels of consciousness around us. A calm mind is receptive to higher vibrations.  All around is the Nature and power of God. Higher vibrations surround us at all times. We need to raise our levels of consciousness, connect and receive. The SitaRam Mantra will help us become receptive vessels to connect, receive and hold higher vibrations and Grace. When a ParamGuru teaches, his words are at one level, the meanings are at another level, and his presence is at yet another level.  We will be able to receive the real meanings of the words and not just the superficial meanings and the healing grace of the presence of the ParamGuru at higher levels of vibrations. It is easy to use the help and grace from the ParamGuru to roll over the stress and bad times in our lives. And when we have the chance and ability to do the SitaRam Japa let us do so. Let us use the SitaRam Mantra for  raising our consciousness levels and moving smoothly in life with love, peace and grace.
